"Celebrate 4-H" Week –- October 4-10
The themes for this year's 4-H week is "Celebrating 4-H" and/or "In the Spotlight". 4-H clubs can pick the theme that they would like to use for their business window displays.
It would be nice if all 4-H clubs could put up a display in schools or local business windows in Pocahontas, Greenville, Sorento, Smithboro or Mulberry Grove. If a window display cannot fit into your schedule, how about asking the business if you can paint 4-H clovers or other 4-H related themes on the windows.
Another way to celebrate 4-H Week (October 4-10) is by wearing your 4-H T-shirts to school, work and play during 4-H week. Stop by the Extension office and pick up your shirt today. We have newly designed 4-H Crossing t-shirts with youth and adult small sizes, grey oval 4-H t-shirts in adult medium and a variety of lime green and "Got Green" emerald green shirts. Prices range from $10 to $12—depending on size of t-shirt. Call the Extension office at 664-3665 to reserve a t-shirt or stop by and pick yours up soon! Show your 4-H colors: White-symbolizes purity; Green-represents nature's most common color which relates to youth, life and growth.
