September/October 2009
Notes from the Office

Dear 4-H Families

As of September 1st another 4-H year is ending and the 2009-2010 is starting. If you know of anyone in your circle of friends, neighbors, or relatives who would like to be a part of 4-H, please have them call the Extension office so we can get them into a 4-H club that fits into their schedule.

Schools have started and everyone will be getting back into a regular routines. Now is the time to look forward to the projects that you would like to take for the 2009-2010 4-H year. Clovers magazines and 4-H Annual Organizers will be handed out to leaders in September for distributing to all current 4-H members at their next meeting.

Leaders are planning their new 2009-2010 calendars and getting ready to elect new officers for the new 4-H program year. This year there will be a program fee per 4-H member. More information will be distributed by your leaders at your October 4-H meetings.

Thanks from the HEA Foodstand ladies and gentlemen

The Bond Co. Homemakers' Extension would like to thank the 4-H volunteers who helped in the Foodstand during the 2009 fair. The Foodstand would not have been so successful without your help!

2009-2010 4-H Theme Surveys

At the Achievement Night on Saturday, November 7th, you will have another chance to provide input to the 2009-2010 4-H theme for the year! This theme is used on the 4-H Showbook, in the 4-H building displays at the fair, and 4-H week in October.

On the back of the survey form lists several workshops. Please mark the workshop areas in which you would be interested in attending next year. So turn over the form and fill out the back too. There is even a place to write in other workshop suggestions on the survey. If you (adult or older 4-H member), are interested in teaching a workshop, please call the Extension office at 664-3665.
