On Friday, December 11, 2009, leaving from Camp Point at 6 p.m. and Mount Sterling at 6:30 p.m., we will head to Macomb for the production staring at 7:30 p.m. Amahl and the Night Visitors answers the question of what could have transpired if the Three Kings has stopped to rest at a poor boy's home while on their journey to Bethlehem. Described as a gentle story with beautiful music and rich imagery to bring hope to a weary world, it offers everything one would hope to find in a Christmas production. It has been a Christmas classic since its first broadcast on NBC in 1951.

Cost for this trip is $20 per person, which includes transportation and a ticket to the show. There is a limit of 28, so get your phone reservations in early to Kathryn McDaniel, 222-9622, ext 215. December 21 - Tot Time, Senior Building, 212 East State Street, Camp Point, 5:30 until 7 p.m. Story time with Santa. Crafts, games and snack. No fee. Please call to pre-register so Santa has enough 'gifts' for all!
