The conference was held Nov. 29, 2007 in Quincy, IL. More than 135 people from 5 states including farmers, consumers, chefs, retailers, educators and others who are interested in building and supporting a sustainable local food system attended the conference. Experts from Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and beyond shared their research and experiences in local food system work.
Displays on marketing tools, local food system work and interesting topics were available throughout the day. A local foods lunch was served by Chef Michael Mitchell of Busy Bistro.
