Community Betterment

Statement of Purpose: The Community Betterment Action Team seeks to enhance community opportunities and improve the life of residents in their recreation in order to maintain and retain population.

Goals Accomplished:

• Farmers' Market established during growing season
• Golf Lessons given to many area youth
• Sidewalk to be built from Jct. 99/24 to YMCA
• Silent Auction Fundraiser and community events for the benefit of Brown County Emergency Services Building
• Recycling Center at Brown County Emergency Services building
• Welcome packets assembled and distributed as needed to new residents
• Varioius fundraisers held benefiting the Brown County Emergency Services Building
• Family Movie Night event held in coordination with YMCA
• Beautification of Main Street

Projects in the works:

• Movie theater
• Improvements and activities at Mt. Sterling Lake
• Brown County cemetery records on website
