Sale Summary of the past 40 years
Over the past 40 years there has been 4,146 bulls sold for a gross of $6,661,445 and average of $1,607. Each years numbers are listed for these three areas.

2008 Final Sale Catalog

2008 IPT Bull Sale EPD/Performance Pedigree Search
This feature titled "EPD/Performance Pedigree Search" allows you to obtain pedigrees and performance information on all the bulls in the 2008 IPT Bull Sale.

Breed Percentile Breakdown for Power Scores
The most current (Spring 2008) Percentile Breakdowns for Angus "Non-Parent Bulls," and Simmental Purebred and Hybrid. The Spring 2008 EPDs will be used for the Pre-Sale and Sale Day Catalogs.

Sale Order determined by Power Score
Sale order for 2008 will be determined by the "Power Score" based on "Percentile Rank" for the EPDs of Birth Weight, Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Maternal Milk, Marbling/Percent Intramuscular Fat, and Percent Retail Product (REA).

Breed Percentile Breakdown for Power Scores
The most current (Spring 2008) Percentile Breakdowns for Angus "Non-Parent Bulls," and Simmental Purebred and Hybrid. The Spring 2008 EPDs will be used for the Pre-Sale and Sale Day Catalogs.

IPT Bull Sale Tops
During the 39 year, 4,066 bull, 6.4 million dollar history--when and who has been the most successful.

AI Stud Sires -- Selling in IPT Bull Sale
Several of the top bulls that sold through the Illinois Performance Tested Bull Sale have entered National AI Studs. Currently there are two bulls in the national AI Studs of Select Sires and Genex Cooperative, Inc.

Health Form for New Owners at IPT Bull Sale
A Health Form was developed to provide a complete health record on the bulls selling through the IPT Sale. This record includes the various health treatments administered, dates and products used, along with any boosters. At the sale the Health Form is placed in the buyer's packet along with the bulls Fertility Evaluation and Johne's analysis.

Bull Fertility Evaluation
Per recommendation of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine all Senior, Junior and January - Yearling IPT Bulls will be fertility evaluated prior to the sale. Evaluators and form include "Breeding Soundness Evaluation" by members of Society of Theriogenology; OR the "IPT Bull Sale Bull Fertility Evaluation" by any practicing veterinarian.

Changes to Sale Catalog

This page is for consignors to update their performance and scan/carcass information on their bull(s) prior to processing.
